With the development of power electronics, switching power supply which is ofmany advantages, such as: high efficiency, small volume and flexible control strategies,and so on, is widely used in aerospace, computer communication and automatic controland other fields. Therefore, to improve the performance of switching power supply isrequired for switching power supply market, including power factor correction and softswitch technology.This paper starts from the Boost converter analysis, including its working principleand application in the field of single-stage power factor correction (S~2-PFC). Combinedwith the full bridge converter topology, this paper presents a new topology of switchingpower supply, which is based on a single-stage PFC circuit topology of full bridgestructure. The new topology combines the advantages of Boost converter and full-bridgeconverter, and the new one can be used in large power application with the purpose ofthe power factor correction. At the same time, in order to improve the efficiency of theswitching power supply, this paper joined the clamp circuit in the circuit design.On the system control strategies, this paper adopts One-Cycle-Control (OCC)technology. This control technology that is use in the active power factor correctioncircuit can greatly reduce the current distortion and realize the high power factor.Meanwhile, the control technology will not use the multiplier as the traditional method,and reduce the difficulty of design of control circuit.Through the systematic analysis, a set of switch power supply prototype, whosepower volume is about1KVA, is finished preliminarily based on the above theory.Switch power supply prototype inputs the grid AC voltage, outputs DC voltage steadily.Analyze the main circuit parameter, and describe the circuit design of each functionalmodule. At the end, present each test signal of the switching power supply prototype,which could improve the correctness and feasibility of the theoretical analysis andengineering design.
