With the improvement of the lives, More and more citizens are seeking high quality environment to enjoy their leisure time. However, the existing city parks cannot meet the needs of citizens. People have started looking for the natural environment that have a lot of aged trees, green grass and wild plants.then they found the forest park has all the characteristics which attracted a lot of people. Based on that, more and more city parks are built in many cities.In the background of global economic integration, the planner pursuit urban forest parks which are in big, foreign and new scales. Too many parks are nearly featureless and sameness, they lost individuality with local and traditional features. From this,we can see planners should protect the locality of the urban forest park.The research of the locality in the landscape architect has tend to be mature, however it still have a little research about the locality of city forest parks. Based on that, the paper, on the basis of the research result before, tries to discuss the basic methods of designs in the urban forest parks, and then provided guide in theory and methods for the planning of the urban forest parks in KuiShan.
