With the recognition of the importance of the aseismic engineering and the development of the research, a new seismic way is found in the civil engineering field in recent years--the structure vibration control.Compared with the traditional seismic method.it has many advantages and a lot of progresses in practical engineering application are made.Among them,the method of passive control using viscoelastic dampers has been applied to more and more projects in the structure design, because it is availability, economically and can be easy to maintenance after the viscoelastic dampers are installed.The main research contents of the thesis are given as follow:1.The mechanical property and hysteretic mode of the viscoelastic damper are discussed, and the calculation models of the viscoelastic tuned mass damper are established.The effects of the brace stiffness to performance parameters of energy dissipation set are discussed.2.This paper introduces the analysis and design methods of the viscoelastic energy dissipation damping structure.3.For a steel frame building,this paper establish five calculation models.They include three types:the first kind is steel frame,the second kind is ordinary brace frame and the third kind is energy dissipation brace frame. For the established models,this paper separately carried on the modal analysis,response spectrum analysis,time history analysis and static nonlinear analysis by the ETABS program.Based on these results,we study the effects of viscoelastic dampers on the seismic performance of the structure,and Analyses some problems of steel braced frame structure system about multiple seismic lines and brace’s ductility. Meanwhile,this paper also study the static nonlinear analysis method’s application and reliability in the Energy dissipation damping structure with viscoelastic dampers.4.This paper research the installation position optimization of viscoelastic dampers,and put forward a kind of optimization method based on the displacement target of the floor,and the results are compared with other optimization methods.In this paper,we make a large amount of calculation and analysis to the steel energy dissipation center brace frame structure with viscoelastic dampers,and explore the application of seismic energy dissipation technology in this structure system. The analytical method and the results and advices have certain reference value.
