Passive control technology uses control devices to absorb and dissipate vibration energy,so as to achieve the purpose of earthquake resistance and disaster prevention.Viscoelastic dampers,as a typical passive control device,have been widely studied and applied.In order to evaluate the damping effect of the new viscoelastic damper,viscous dampers and soft steel dampers are introduced to compare the damping effect of the three dampers.The main contents of the study are as follows:Firstly,the research status of viscous dampers,soft steel dampers and viscoelastic dampers at home and abroad is introduced.On this basis,the energy dissipation principle and relevant mechanical models of the three types of dampers are expounded.Then using the STRAT finite element analysis software,combined with the relevant technical specifications,three suitable seismic waves are selected for the dynamic elastoplastic time history analysis of a super high-rise building.Under the condition of the same maximum output,number and location of dampers,the uniform layout method is used to arrange all kinds of dampers in the super high-rise building.Finally,the variation of natural vibration period,energy time history curve,maximum inter-story displacement,inter-story displacement angle,inter-story shear force and inter-story acceleration are compared.The results show that the new viscoelastic damper has the best effect in absorbing seismic energy and controlling interlayer displacement.In addition,in order to achieve better seismic mitigation effect,on the basis of summarizing various layout optimization methods,this paper uses proportional distribution method to arrange the dampers,and makes dynamic elastic-plastic time-history analysis,compares the calculation results with the uniform layout method,and compares the energy dissipation effect of the dampers in the horizontal X-direction.The results show that the proportional distribution method can reduce the seismic response of the structure more effectively than the uniform distribution method,and it is a simple and convenient method for optimal arrangement of dampers.
