At present, mixed traffic flow that is peculiar city traffic of our country affects eachother in plane intersection, led to the plane intersection traffic chaos, increasing delay oftraffic flow, the slowdown of speed and frequent traffic accidents. And the best way to solvethe traffic problems is to scientifically and reasonably intelligent control on signal intersection.Therefore, studying the characteristics of the Intersections mixed traffic flow and designingthe reasonably intelligent traffic control system has an important significance to improve thecity’s transportation operating efficiency in considering the premise of non-motor vehicles andpedestrians.In order to minimize delay of the traffic flow in the intersection and make traffic flowsmoothly through the intersection, it must ensures that the intersection signal controldecisions with real-time and accuracy. Therefore, the study prediction method of short-termtraffic flow for urban intersection, in order to ensure the forward-looking of signal controldecision-making data is premise of establishing a scientific an intelligent traffic controlsystem.First of all, this paper introduces the basic parameters of traffic signal control and thecalculation formula of these parameters are given, and briefly introduces the performanceindex of evaluation of traffic control quality. At the same time, this paper introduces theclassification of signal control mode and the characteristics of various control methods.Secondly it introduces the intelligent control method that is often used in signal control, suchas fuzzy control, neural network and generalized dynamic fuzzy neural network. Through theunderstanding of the prediction of short time traffic flow, studying the prediction method ofshort-term traffic flow based on generalized dynamic fuzzy neural network. On the study ofthe basis of short-term traffic flow prediction, Considering the influence of non-motorizedand pedestrians on the crossing traffic control, and establish model of mixed traffic flowsignal control system based on two fuzzy control. We combine with the specific examples anduse MATLAB simulation analysis on the effect of the control of the signal control system,and the results show that this method can effectively alleviate the traffic pressure and improvethe capacity of the intersection.
