Computer interlocking system is the control system of station signal, and is one of thekey equipment to ensure safe operation of the trains. As a system for security, the safety andreliability of its exploitation process are critical for computer interlocking system. So a safeand effective modeling tool and verification is needed. With the interlocking system in urbanrail transit as its object, the dissertation carries out the simulating study of modeling.According to the characteristics of the computer interlocking system for railway and theoperational of urban rail transit, the functional requirements of the urban rail transit are cleared.In order to meet the functional requirements of the interlocking for urban rail transit, these twomodeling methods of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Colored Petri Nets (CPN) canbe combined to analyze each route process. The system model is built by UML. Because UMLdoes not have its own validation tool, the UML models should be converted CPN models bythe basic rules. The CPN models should be studied in depth.In order to verify the correctness of the models and the effectiveness of the integratedmodeling method, the functional requirements of the basic process are researched and analyzedin depth. The UML uses case diagrams, sequence diagrams and state diagrams are used fordescryibing characteristics of the functional requirements. And according to the rules for conv-erting UML to CPN, CPN model is built. The correctness of the model is verified by employingthe Petri net model. As a representative for research on selecting the route process, results showthat the established model meets the operational characteristics of urban rail transit.The model has completed functions after being examined. According to the"V"modelof software development, each founction of the interlocking system is analyzed in depth. Theflow charts are drawn of each process by model verification of the approach, in order to guidebasic interlocking function which takes the C++as the programming tool.According to the design scheme, the interlocking function of urban rail transit has achievedto simulate unlocked of the route as well as the special features, such as opening the PlatformScreen Door (PSD). Results of simulation show that the interlocking system can meet the oper-ational requirements of urban rail transit.
