Rubber V-belt Continuously Variable Transmission can transmit smoothly, changespeed ratio continuously, can absorb vibration, have simple structure, low noise, low costand convenient maintenance as a gearing using transmission belt, driving wheel, drivenwheel whoes working diameter can be changed to transmit power. At present, RubberV-belt Continuously Variable Transmission is widely used in snowmobile, all terrainvehicles and scooters. It is an ideal transmission apparatus as it can chang speed ratiocontinuously reducing vehicles’driving impact and improving the driving operationconvenience and ride comfort, making the driveline and the engine operating conditions toachieve the best match to improve the vehicle’s power and economy. Although RubberV-belt Continuously Variable Transmission is researched for a long time, its property ofratio changing is not fully researched with lacking of relevant theories, and its property ofratio changing in the vehicle is not well understood, thus it has some academic significanceand practical value to research the property of ratio changing of Rubber V-beltContinuously Variable Transmission in the vehicle.In this paper, research work includes the following aspects:(1) Analysis of the structure and working principle of high-power rubber V-beltContinuously Variable Transmission, the powertrain of the vehicle equipped withhigh-power Rubber V-belt Continuously Variable Transmission. Introduce the powerdelivery system which includes rubber v-belt Continuously Variable Transmission inmotorcycle and snowmobile.(2)In theory research the property of ratio changing of high-power rubber v-beltContinuously Variable Transmission in the vehicle, put forward its calculation method.(3)Select a motorcycle, establish the engine’s characteristic surface, calculate thedriving resistance of the motorcycle on the ice and snow surfaces.With the method ofcalculating the property of ratio changing in the vehicle, calculate target speed ratios andload torques corresponding to different engine throttle opening values and road slopeangles.(4) Establish the property of ratio changing in the vehicle according to engine throttleopening values、road slope angles and target speed ratios, analyze the situation of the targetspeed ratio with the changes of engine throttle opening and road slope angle.(5) Analyze when engine throttle opening is constant, the motorcycle’s vehicle speed, engine speed and power’s relationship with road slope angle;and researched when the roadslope angle is constant, the motorcycle’s vehicle speed,engine speed and power’srelationship with engine throttle opening.By drawing and comparison determine thereasonableness of the maximum speed of the motorcycle.
