In those years, with the problem of environment and resources became more and morebad, the automobile industry has been faced new challenges.Electric vehicle(EV) has beenfavored by many companies and consumers for it almost no pollution, no emissions, nonoise and so on, many famous companies around the world have been developing their ourelectric vehicleTransmission is an important part in the transmission system of vehicle, and it has animportant influence on the dynamical and economical character. Before the battery storagehas been efficiently improved, to match a correct transmission also can improve theefficiency of motor, and thus increase the mileage.This paper introduced a new continuously variable transmission, it will be designedonly for Elevtric Vehicle.It is a kind of application of planetary gear, and it is a newapplication with simple structure, heavy loaded capacity and high efficiency.It is adouble-powered continuously veriable transmission, and achieve the purpose of infinitelyvariable speed by change the power of one or both of the motor;meantime,it has many differencescompared with traditional transmission,such as it can not decrease speed and increasetorque or decrease speed and increase torque by change the transmission ratio, butincreasing the input power or reduce the input power. In this paper, working principle, powercharacteristic and work efficiency of the transmission will be analysised,verified and draw diagram withMATLAB/SIMULINK, ADAMS; and did some work on power matching according to anelectric vehicle, including the main motor and the auxiliary motor, and then according tothe experimental data, the work efficiency of the main motor area were analyzed, and thenaccording to the selected test vehicle, designed and calculated the transmission, and thecontrol strategy about starting, acceleration and deceleration were analyzed, because of thespecial nature of the transmission on the dynamic characteristics, so use the power as thecontrol parameter;Finally, the vehicle dynamics model was established withMATLAB/SIMULINK tool, and then the dynamic performance and the control strategywas tested by simulation and experiments.Through this analysis, firstly, there are great difference between the transmission andthe traditional transmission on the dynamic characteristics, is mainly reflected in theaspects of its torque characteristics, therefore, on the development of its control strategy isalso different with the general CVT; secondly, through match the motor correctly,combined with the transmission, in the premise of meet the vehicle dynamic performance, it can make the motor working in high efficient area as much as possible, and achieve thepurpose of energy saving.
