With the development of society, electric motors have been widely applied inmany fields as the main source of power. Loading the electric motors is an effectivemeans of testing the performance and simulating its practical working condition.Therefore, the motor loading devices have come into being. In this article, a loadingmethod for electric motors has been proposed based on AC synchronous generatorsaim of low cost, simple structure and easy to operate. The experimental equipmenthas achieved satisfactory results.First, this paper introduces the current research results and situation of loadingelectric motors and points out some problems in the motor loading equipment. Afterthat, the analysis of the electromagnetic relations and torque characteristics arecompleted based on AC synchronous generators. Then the law that the input torque ofAC synchronous generators can be controlled by its exciting current or load current isfound. An actual hardware loading platform is built to test the principle and method.Meanwhile, corresponding software design is completed. Finally, the loading deviceis tested and the results show that the loading effect is satisfactory. |
