With the development of technology for automotive emission control and tomeet strict requirements of state auto emissions standards, the combustionprocess of an internal combustion engine should be improved and optimized soas to better enhance the power of the engine, fuel economy and emissionperformance of internal combustion engine. In most of the current field, turbocharging technology is adopted with the purpose of increasing intake air toincrease the oxygen concentration to improve the performance of power ofengine. However, that results in energy consumption and environmental pollution, which cannot fundamentally improve the integral performance of engine. Theoxygen-enriched intake combustion technology is a potential measure forcombustion, which can improve the performance of the engine effectively.Firstly, the paper elaborates the scientific basis for enriched combustionapplied in internal combustion engine (gasoline) combustion and the currentdevelopment of the oxygen-rich technology applications in the internalcombustion engine at home and abroad; GT-POWER software is introduced insimulation application principle, modeling steps, simulation calculation processfor engine; After that, the paper continues with selecting engine combustionmodel, the heat transfer model, and lists the basic eq uation of the workingprocess of the cylinder. Then the paper uses GT-POWER to simulate integral modeling for gasolineengine. In the process of modeling, the appropriate geometric model parametersshould be determined, Moreover, the models for reasonable flow, heat transferand combustion should be selected as well. Then the simulation calculation is inthe GT-POST postprocessing for analysis results. Under stoichiometric air-fuelratio, that the different concentration of oxygen-enriched air (22%,24%,26%, 28%) influences the basic performance indicators of gasoline engine is analyzed, such as, inlet temperature, pressure, power, torque, emissions. Under thedifferent conditions for concentration of oxygen-enriched inlet air, the impact onintegral performance of engine that varies with the rotational speed, inletpressure, inlet temperature, compression ratio is explored. Finally, the paper introduces the working principle of membra ne oxygenenrichment technology. On basis of this, oxygen-enriched vane and membranesystem of oxygen device is designed for internal combustion engine. And itsstrategy for match and control applied in internal combustion engine is studied.
