In recent years, with the development of the national economy, the highway bridge bear the transportation has become increasingly onerous, many roads and bridges have emerged in varying degrees of damage, even collapse. Although there are many reasons for these accidents, but also reflect the lack of the original old specification. With the development of bridge computation theory, people have a further understanding of the many theories in bridge design, such as the thermal stress. So our country in2004promulgated the "general code for design of highway bridges and culverts"(JTGD60-2004) to replace the "general code for design of highway bridges and culverts"(JTJ021-89).This paper is the first to change of vehicle load in the specification, the concrete arch bridge as the research object, using the Midas/Civil finite element software, selection of different span, different types of arch bridge with vehicle load of new and old standard of load calculation, the difference of concrete arch bridge between vehicle load effect in the new standard, and discussed the security.Aiming at the load of temperature changes in the specification, based on a concrete arch bridge as an example, with uniform temperature field, the old standard of nonlinear temperature load calculation, the difference that the same bridge in the old and new standards under temperature load, and discusses its security. The calculated values measured nonlinear temperature difference of four areas in our country with our new norms and values of the United States of America nonlinear temperature difference in the specification in the same bridge, obtained the results, and the value of nonlinear temperature difference in the new code of our country. This paper also reference code for design of China’s railway, on the same bridge considering only one-way non-linear temperature difference and consider the bi-directional nonlinear temperature difference were calculated, and the results were compared to explore...
