In recent years to meet the growing demand of traffic, improve the traffic capacity ofexisting mountain highways and roads grade, a lot of improvement has been made forHighway widening, bridge widening project in mountainous areas accounts for the bulkof Highway rebuilding project in mountainous areas.The paper depends on the science and technology project of Yunnan provincetransportation department ’key technical study on bridge widening of low gradeHighway rebuilding project in mountainous areas’, research out of common forms oflow grade highway bridge in mountainous area, select t-beam bridge in the typicalstructure for research. Simply supported t-shaped beam bridge as a typical form ofmountain highway bridge structures, its reasonable broadening programme is of greatsignificance for Highway rebuilding project in mountainous areas.Comparative analysis on two methods to propose reasonable load transversedistribution factors calculation mode of different connection methods to widening thebridge. And contrast the old bridge beams transverse load distribution coefficientvariation before and after the widening of the two different connections.Through the establishment of finite element model, find load transverse distributionfactors of two side widenning t-beam programme and one side widening box girderprogramme, as well as the internal force of their longitudinal wet joint. Assess theadvantages and disadvantages of the two programme in one side widening and two sidewidening, and compare load transverse distribution coefficient variation of old bridgebeams in one side widening and two side widening. Finally consider various factors thatmay affect the widened structure internal force, such as different settlement of the oldand new bridge, creep and shrinkage differences, and temperature gradients. Analysemain girder structure performance after widening, and find a reasonable wideningprogramme of mountain highway t-shape Beam Bridge, provide the basis for futurewidening and reconstruction of the same structure type bridge.
