Currently, for scrap construction machinery products, in one side, it is a heavy burden for society and environment, in another side, it is also the previous resources with great economic value.In fact, some parts can be recycled and re-manufactured, some even can be reused directly. But now it is still lack of definitly rules for determining whether the service part should be recycled or re-manufactured. Among these rules, the remaining life of parts is a key one.Therefore, it is necessary to predict the fatigue life and residual fatigue life of engineering machinery’s parts.In this paper, the X-type outriggers of the48-meter concrete pump truck is applied as the object of study, and it has predicted the fatigue life and residual fatigue life.Firstly,The angle of the X-type outriggers are optimized,so that the pump truck has the highest stability under various conditions.it is need to find out the most dangerous situation,in which the support force of outrigger is the biggest,and find the maximum support force of the outriggers and the outrigger’s load in its dangerous section. Pro/Engineer is used to establish the3D model of the legs,and ANSYS is used to finite the element modeling of the outriggers,so the stress cloud of the pump truck’s outriggers have been gotten.the histories of load and time is determined for legs.Then,the S-N curve and nominal stress method have been combined to estimate the fatigue life of the outriggers.last,The analysis method for predicting the remaining life of the retired outriggers has been brought forward,and this paper take use of the remaining life estimation theory to estimate the remaining life of the pump outriggers.
