On the basis of the understanding of the structure, the deploying principles and thedeploying process of hoop truss deployable antenna, this thesis conducts a study on theanalysis, design, manufacture and the test of the2meter diameter antenna model whichis based on virtual prototype technology (VPT). Then the related analysis is made indetail. The main content of this thesis is as follows:1. The effects of some critical parameters on the mass and bass frequency of thedeployable antenna are analyzed. These parameters contain the diameter andthickness of the truss hollow rods, the mass of the truss joints and so on. Then theoptimization model of the parameters is established, with which the values of theparameters are determined.2. Combined with the VPT and taking the function and performance of the antennamodel into consideration, the structures of the antenna components are designed.Then the corresponding solid models and the engineering drawings of thecomponents are accomplished. With the structural design and the drawings, theantenna components are manufactured. After assembling these solid models into anantenna model in Pro/E software, the related kinematic simulation is conducted.With the help of the simulating, these manufactured components are assembled intoan antenna model in kind.3. The statical analysis and modal analysis of the antenna model and the dynamicsanalysis of the deploying process are made. Then the modal and deployingexperiments are conducted, and the related results are taken into comparison withthe results of the design. Besides, the fatigue strength of the truss joints is checked.4. In order to imitate the gravity compensation environment, two optional schemes ofthe antenna model hanger are designed to eliminate the negative influence of gravityon the deployable antenna. According to the deploying way of the antenna model,the deploying power device is designed.
