The overhead catenary system is the main facility for power supply in electrified railway. The operating state of catenary will directly affect the safe operation of trains. With the rapid development of China’s high-speed railway, the speed of the CRH has reached up to350km/h. Accordingly, the high-speed operation of the train put forward higher requirements for safe operation, also put forward new task for the detection of contact state parameter.Catenary structure security is an important aspect to ensure the safety of train operation. To strengthen the on-line monitoring of the catenary equipment has important practical significance in the safe operation of trains, which can help us to get catenary state in time.The compensation device of catenary can improve the condition of getting the current from the overhead contact line and the quality of rail operation. The function of compensation device is to automatically adjust the contact line catenary tension change to maintain constant tension. Once the compensation device is invalid, it will worsen the condition of getting the current from the overhead contact line, posing a security risk to traffic safety.Based on on-line monitoring system as the research background, the paper has finished the design for on-line monitoring system to catenary compensation device, which using GPRS technology to achieve real-time data acquisition and wireless transmission.This paper first introduces the catenary detection techniques and SCADA system, and then describes the structure and function of the tension compensation device, the whole system, hardware and software design and implementation methods. Completed Monitoring terminal hardware circuit design and acquisition, digital filtering and processing software to write.Completed. Complete PC monitoring interface design through LABVIEW programming language. Eventually, test the entire system, reaching the predetermined design requirements.
