In recent years, with the rapid development of wind power technology and national policy support for new energy sources, the development of China’s wind power course is very fast. Because of the wind resource distribution and development status in our country, the wind power development shows the characteristics of large-scale, and the vast majority of large-scale wind farms locate in remote areas away from the load center. Because of the EHV Transmission Line with larger charging power and the volatility and uncertainty of wind power, trend of the large-scale wind power access point and the transmission channel fluctuate strongly, resulting the voltage of power grid accessing the large-scale wind power waves largely Along with the change of the wind power output and seriously affecting the voltage quality and stability. Therefore, to study the large-scale wind power grid reactive voltage characteristics and control methods has important practical significance.At first, this article analyzes the research status of the wind farm reactive power and voltage control at present, study and analysis the principles and characteristics of a variety of reactive power and voltage control measures. Through the establishment of a mathematical model of the wind turbine, the article analyzes the reactive voltage characteristics of the three main wind turbines and the wind farm constituting with them. Analyze the voltage characteristics of the power grid with large-scale wind power under a different output mode and the wind power active output fluctuations. Study solving method of voltage/reactive sensitivity coefficient based on sensitivity theory, and on the basis of voltage/reactive sensitivity coefficient, put forward reactive power and limited voltage control strategy of the wind farm and wind farm group. Proposed three-level optimization control mode and the three-level voltage optimization control strategy for the voltage characteristics of the large-scale wind power grid.Finally, the paper simulates and analyzes taking the Jiuquan grid for instance, analyzes the effect of the voltage control strategies on the Jiuquan grid when the wind power fluctuates and the active of the wind power is different, proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the large-scale wind power voltage optimization control based on the sensitivity of the method.
