Nowadays, when people were in the pursuit of the large capacity units and high steam initial parameter, the loss of cold source was over looked in power plant. Due to the low grade of the loss, it cannot be easily recycled and the vast majority of it was emitted in the environment. It was not only caused waste but also caused environmental pollution. With the constant expansion of the city especially the more developed coastal cities, the contradiction between the increasing heat load and the existing limited heating capacity has been increasing, the absorption heat pump coupled power station heating is a new idea of urban heating to us. This method not only can recover the loss of the cold source, but also can expand the heating area. It is the best of both worlds. Firstly, this paper aimed at a problem which is the low temperature of circulating water of all heating season is too low to be applied by an absorption heat pump in open-style power plant, and draw up a program which changed open to close in circulating water recirculation. Secondly, the absorption heat pump model was established and a curve of the inlet temperature of cold water and the coefficient of performance of the heat pump units was drawn. Eventually, the optimization model of the cold-end system was established in this paper. The optimization goal of cold-end system which is the maximization of the thermoelectric net income was established, and the outlet temperature of circulating water which has an opposite effect to the generating capacity of steam turbine units and the performance parameters of the heat pump units was set to be the independent variable. The minimum cooling flow, the security operating range of backpressure and the absorptive amount of cold source were set to be the constraint condition. The objects of study are300MW condensate pumping unit which is the main heating unit and30MW absorption heat pump. First various economic indicators in different discrete COP were analyzed in order to make the economic advantage of the coupled heating program can visually show. Then the optimized calculation in accordance with the mathematical model which has been established was carried on, the theory optimal outlet temperature of circulating water under different heating load was got and the trend of the optimal temperature was analyzed.
