With the continuous accumulation of operational experience and sophisticated technology continues to improve, in the power grid will have more intelligent substation into operation.This article relies on110kV Heqiao substation design engineering, first through the literature, field survey and in-depth understanding of development and application of intelligent substation technology, have a lot of information.Then the basic characteristics of the smart substation, network infrastructure in-depth study, propose viable network of samrt substation design.Then the electronic transformer, merging units, intelligent terminals and equipment condition monitoring station critical applications such as intelligent technologies were analyzed, focusing on the principle of electronic transformer, economic and technical performance analysis based on this proposed electronic transformer selection configuration, also focused on the switchgear intelligent analysis and demonstration program was put forward practical solutions.Finally, for the Jiangsu Power Grid’s first110kV smart substation-Heqiao substation construction scale, wiring, equipment selection and other data collected, combined with intelligent station in Jiangsu province, the operating status of the stations of the network structure, network switches methods and electronic transformer, merging units, intelligent terminal, etc. selection configuration has been designed, completed the substation equipment intelligent design. At last, ananlyzed some special problems in the construction processes and proposed the solution.
