In the new century, as the development of Chinese railway entered into a new level, wecan see that the continuous improvement of the speed of the train brings a lot of convenience.However, at the same time, the rate of train accidents is also increasing. Therefore, we need todo a further research and develop the corresponding technology of train control, in order toguarantee the safe operation of train. Temporary speed restriction balise which is described inthis paper makes the train-ground-backed serve formed integrally and plays a key role in thesafe running of the train control system. Temporary speed restriction balise consists of aswitchable balise and a fixed balise. Because the switchable balise is located in a complexenvironment, sustainable energy supply and the lower of high-power become the recognizedpuzzles which directly restrict the applications of the balise.This paper focuses on the studies of the sustainable energy and power consumptionissues for the Temporary speed restriction balise and provides the method of solar energysupply which can greatly improve the life of fixed source balise; The problem of high powerconsumption on fixed balise is solved by the design of low-power; This research includes thefollowing parts:1. Energy Research. Solar charge and discharge lithium battery by the DW01powermanagement circuitry and the circuitry extends the service life of the balise.2. Low-power. In this paper, CC2530system-on-chip is used to achieve wirelesscommunication between switchable balise and fixed balise. In the premise of effectivecommunication, the adjustment of their sleeping time on the basis of the reality of trainrunning can reduce power consumption of switchable balise.3. High stability. To improve the device anti-jamming capability, the paper designscircuit board with good electromagnetic compatibility and isolation technology in the powersupply module and data transmission module. At the same time, data retransmissionmechanism and watchdog are introduced in this paper which strengthen data reading ability ofthe system and further improve stability of the system.Temporary speed restriction balise has passed the tests in Guangzhou MobileCommunication Products Quality Supervision and Testing Center of Ministry of InformationIndustry, which include solar charging test, communication test between switchable balise andfixed balise.
