Cave dwelling is a sort of traditional architecture that distributed in loess plateau and its surrounding areas with advantage in ecology and saving-energy. Facing with the crisis about ecology and energy all around the world,we can learn more from it and do more to protect them. With the development of urbanization in our country,the number of cave is decreasing.this phenomenon led to the decline of the traditional architecture culture and the addition of building energy consumption for this reason, this paper hope to study the current situation of cave in licheng and its ecological and energy-saving feature by investing the cave dwelling in Yannan village licheng shanxi province to inherit and develop them.The paper firstly analyzed the geographical conditions and cultural background to explain the happening of cave in Yannan village. Then,investgating the distribution,layout,orientation and current situation of those caves.Based on those research,the text classify the cave dwelling in Yannan village into tupiyao,zhuanyao and shiyao.meanwhile,analysing the changing of the life in cave and the factors.Based on the investigation, classification of cave, reference life cycle assessment of rock cave in the village construction, use and waste recycling ecological characteristics of the three stages of the comparison analysis:①In the construction stage cave Hillside Conservation of arable land, make full use of the loess from lower raw material for the production of energy and transport energy consumption;②Influenced by the level of economic and social and living habits, Yannan village’cave dwelling’main energy consumption for heating energy consumption, cooking stage of household electrical appliances and lighting energy consumption. The heating energy saving effect can reach the other building with the area of63%.③Cave demolition stage without soil and material filled with energy to demolition in failure, the recovery of waste energy consumption is far lower than the new brick buildings.The cave has good ecological energy-saving features, in line with the future trend of green ecological building. But some problems the cave itself restricts the inheritance and development of it. Therefore, according to the common damage, heating energy-saving potential Rock Village cave for the fully realized, poor ventilation easily damp and puts forward some corresponding technical measures. At the same time, focus on the future development of the cave, the introduction of new energy recycling system of solar energy, straw energy to increase the sources of energy and expand the planting of edible fungi, kiln development farming in function to increase home ownership income suggest kiln.
