The cement concrete pavement has been widely used because of its high strength, higher rigidity, better transferring ability of traffic load, good stability and great durability. In order to reduce the stress generated due to stretching and warping deformation is restrained, and meet the requirements of concrete paving, cement concrete pavement need to set a lot of joints, the joints are an important part of the cement concrete pavement. But joints are also the weak parts of the pavement structure. Many studies have indicated that the joint is not only the part of being destroyed easily, but also the origin of many damages of pavement such as pumping, angle alternated and broken. The performance of the joints have a greater impact on the performance and service life of the cement concrete pavement. So the joint performance have a great significance to the curing, maintenance and overlay of the cement concrete pavement. This paper describes the basic theory that the model of finite element under the static load and moving load. And according to the structural characteristics of cement concrete pavement, established the model of the three-dimensional finite element of concrecte slab, joint and foundation. And it introduces the joints simulation, constitutive model of the material, boundary conditions and loads applied to the model, the type of the finite element and the mesh detail, and to determine the reasonable value in the corresponding parameters of the model.A series of3D finite element model to static analyses for the typical cement concrete pavement structural are performanced. For the various factors of cement concrete pavement joints performance, selected the width of joint, concrete panel thickness, the elastic modulus of concrete panel, the elastic modulus of base and axle load as the analysis parameters, concluded the effect on the stress and displacement, this provide a reference to design cement concrete pavement joint. Based on the simulating plateform of ABAQUS, the moving uniformly distributed load by defining user subroutines(VDLOAD), comparative analyses the effect of stress and displacement of cement concrete pavement joint under different speeds.
