With the rapid development of economy in China, and attaching great importance to road construction by the state, the highway transportation system also will be developed in the western mountainous area. Because of its complex terrain, the upper structure commonly used simply supported or continuous beam of relatively simple force and lower in double column pier style is widely adopted, generally considering the difficulty of construction, the project cost and other factors in the design.Pier is a very important stress component which is the role of passing the upper part loads to the foundation in bridge structure. When double column pier reaches a certain height, in order to meet the requirements of the stability during the construction period, transverse beam is usually set between two piers. After that, the stress form of the substructure changes.This article sets a double pillars supporting girder bridge in the western mountains as the background, along with different locations of the cross collar beams to study the force effect on the whole structure, main works are as follows:Establishing the Whole bridge model, the static force of pier which is set the different quantity of the cross collar beam is analyzed; through response spectrum method and time-history analysis to analyze the earthquake seismic response under the E1and E2models, the internal force which is at the end of Pier and displacement of top of Pier is drew.Building Local space bridge pier model is to analyze the buckling coefficient of bridge pier with different horizontal tie beams.Comparative analysis of solid and hollow cross beam forms are available, the trends of internal force at the end of pier and displacement at the top of pier of two cases in static and seismic are reached and analysis of advantages and disadvantages section in two ways during the construction.
