Google Earth is a kind of three-dimensional earth software developed by GoogleCompany.Satellite images、aerial photos、3D terrain models and other GIS information arearranged in a three-dimensional model of the Earth.Different from traditional GIS, GoogleEarth is low cost in data collection, exploration and visualization.Google Earth has severalcharacteristics to meet the requirements of Urban rail transit route selecting design.It isimportant to make the research on Urban rail transit route selecting design based on GoogleEarth.Based on the feature of Google Earth,this thesis carries on the analysis of coordinatedata and images data of the Google Earth, mainly from two aspects of data sources and dataform. Then it proposes the interconversion method of Google Earth latitude and longitudecoordinates and railway route selecting commonly used plane coordinates. And it proposesexperimental methods to reduce coordinate error under two kinds of coordinate systems.Realizing the coordinate interconversion is the foundation work for Urban rail transit routeselecting design based on Google Earth.Finally based on Google Earth data analysis, thethesis analyzes feasibility and concrete application of Google Earth in Urban rail transit routeselecting design.Google Earth provides two kinds of interfaces of the twice development: KML andCOM API. Through the programming, realize creation of the KML document. Achievesvarious elements’ display of Urban rail Transit route in Google Earth. Google Earth COM APIis a public interface of Google Earth components. It provides class library. Use these classlibrary can control Google Earth. This thsis has made the detailed introduction and analysis toseveral key technologies involved in the whole process. The program uses C#language. Thedevelopment platform is Microsoft Visual Studio2010.In the process, make use of WindowsHOOK API and Google Earth COM API to achieve extraction of ground line,SketchUp tomake and insert3D to GE as well as KML to Visualize selected line so as to realize the routeselection. This is the most critical technologies in the process.The thesis makes whole introduction to the system’s design and realization;Shows thesystem’s surface and menu;Realizes the plane selection design and ground line extraction anddrawing, which has practical value.
