Research On Googel Earth And Google Map-based Multi-user Flight Simulation System

The development of digital earth have had an effect on all aspects of social life. A series of effective work about digital earth was paid far-ranging attenation. These mass as well as functional technological development grow up gradually with development of Google Earth and Google Map platform. Flight visual simulation is an application of visual simulation technology in a flight simulator. Visualization simulation provides a relatively real 3D environment for the whole simulation system, and which has been widely used in the simulation of vehicle. Meanwhile, visual simulation is the most important virtual reality technique of form of expression.so structure simulation object 3d model can reproduce true environment, so as to achieve very realistic simulation result according to the simulation purpose.This paper discusses the establishment process of multi-user flight simulation system, which based on Google Earth platform and Google Map platform. According to load the Google Map and Google Earth plug-in, scene of the flight simulation will be shown by Google Earth three-dimensional earth model, Including topography, buildings, lighting and other effects. By using the Google Earth API, Google Map API and KML markup language to achieve load and update 3D models in Google Earth 3D scene. Through the use of Ajax, we established the function of multi-user flying in Google Earth 3D scene, and update the flight status for all models in client in real-time. Finally, by using a flight simulation which involved two clients, we can demonstrate that the Google Earth and Google Map-based Multi-user Flight Simulation System can be applied to observe 3D scene, and be used for the 3D scene of the flight simulation game.
