Since the1990s, bridge construction has entered a rapid development period, thespanning river bridges have a large presence. Most of these bridges are in deep water, at thesame time, are located in the earthquake zone, so the impact of hydrodynamic pressure onstructure need to be studied deeply. Take the504Factory Yellow River Bridge as engineeringbackground. Guidelines for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges, Code for Seismic Design ofRailway Engineering, Seismic Code of Japan, Eurocode8and Morison Equation were used tocalculate hydrodynamic pressure and additional damping. Under the condition of differentwater depth, the finite element model of504Factory Yellow River Bridge was established,and the response spectrum and nonlinear time history response analysis was studied. Mainresearch contents are as follows:(1) On the basis of reading lots of literature of home and abroad, the damage of bridgeand seismic analysis theory in bridge structure is expounded, the calculation methods ofhydrodynamic pressure and the applicable scope is summarized.(2) The influence of pile group effect on dynamic water pressure and dynamic dampingis analyzed. The way of using Morison Equation to calculate the hydrodynamic added massand the hydrodynamic added damping of rectangular piers is discussed.(3) The influence of the hydrodynamic pressure calculation methods and water depth onthe seismic response of elevated pile cap bridge is studied, which response spectrum andnonlinear time history are applied in the model. The nature vibration characteristic ofstructure and seismic response are impacted greatly by hydrodynamic pressure, and theregularity that seismic response along with the change of water depth is summarized.(4) The seismic response of elevated pile cap is analyzed, which hydrodynamic dampingeffect is considered, the impact of hydrodynamic damping effect on elevated pile cap is verysmall, so it can be ignored in the practical engineering structure.
