Speed Control System is also called the Cruise Control System.Cruise control system which can relieve drivers’fatigue and improve the driving comfort had become a special configuration only in high-end cars.However,as the science and technology are developing rapidly,auto industry is made great progress and the highway net-work construction is speeding up,cruise control is gradually applied to the lowend models.Besides, more and more electronic throttles are used in cars.So cruise control have become one of configurations of the many family cars.The core of the cruise control system is the adopted control strategy.In the control method of selecting,domestic most of cruise control systems is the traditional PID control.Its precision and stability of the system control are not high.So,Every giant auto manufacturers in the world are accelerating the development of cruise control system in the application of new control theories, joint and multiplex control,miniaturization and intelligent.Based on the above background.This paper is on the basis of using the fuzzy theory and neural network combined with PID control algorithm respectively.The main content of this paper aim to simulation contrast the advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of control strategy through the simulation of the working process of the automobile cruise control system.Firstly, the thesis briefly introduced the CCS history and the process of Development and then this thesis detailedly introduced the basic structure and the working principle of CCS,It lays a good foundation of the next core content.Secondly, this article referenced many the domestic and foreign many research achievements of cruise control system, the thesis list a Dynamic balance equation through a longitudinal force analysis of vehicle body and wheel and establish a complete vehicle longitudinal dynamics model, including engine system, transmission system, vehicle dynamics and actuators. Then, using the traditional PID, fuzzy PID and neural network PID control strategy for speed control, under the environment of MATLAB/Simulink modular modeling, through observation of the simulation waveform diagram analysis, neural network PID can get the fast response time, small overshoots, causing the cruise control system to achieve the best state.Finally, the author presents the hardware of this thesis in detail, including the microprocessor and the electronic throttle, electronic throttle system.Then the author discusses the main stream of program.
