LNG Dispensers Verification Device Flowmeter Flow Field Numerical Simulation Analysis

To optimize and improve clean energy using in China, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) hasbeen developed rapidly in recent years. LNG is composed of a liquid mixture of hydrocarbonssuch as methane, ethane, and propane, and a small amount of nitrogen and is commonlyadopted in power generation, automotive fuel and aircraft fuel. But the nitrogen in LNG is ingaseous state, LNG is known as the worldwide "unpredictable fluid.Now LNG is measured by using the special air machine. But now the LNG measurementwith air machine in accordance with the requirements of the National standards or technicalspecifications is not developed well in China and abroad, the technological progress for LNGis seriously restricted. So LNG air machine metrological verification with the standard gaugeis used in China. The flow meter is important in the measurement accuracy of test results.In order to improve the performance of the of LNG air machine verification device, flowmeter is chose and researched with CFD, combined with the measurement of LNG airmachine experimental data, to find the main factors of measurement accuracy and improvethe verification device performance.Main works are as follows:(1) Comparing various types of the applicability of the flow meter, choosing the appropriateone and analyzing and simplifying the research model;(2) To a mixture flow such as LNG, describing the method of density, dynamic viscosity,thermal conductivity, and constant pressure ratio calculation, and calculating the requiredphysical parameters in operating conditions;(3) Numerical simulating of a simplified model of the flow meter under different conditionswith CFD software, and analyzing parameters influence such as working pressure of theflow meter, flow meter mass, the LNG fluid temperature gasification and methane to theflow meter accuracy.(4) Through the comparison of experimental data and numerical simulation results, verifyingthe correctness of the results of numerical simulation and proposing measures to improveperformance of the LNG air machine.
