The double HVDC transmission lines on the same tower were proposed for coping with electric load requirements caused by the rapid development of the domestic economy. Compared to the single HVDC transmission line, it is some advantages such as high-utilization rate in unit corridor, small occupation area and allocating wide resources optimally. But the problem of electromagnetic environment inevitably has attracted a lot of attention with enhancement of people’s environmental protection consciousness. In the design of power transmission project, the design of line is one of the main factors related to the running stability, economy and security of power transmission system. The severity of electromagnetic pollution including radio inference, corona loss, audible noise and special ion current is determined by the electric field intensity around the wire. The work that design double-circuit HVDC transmission lines rationally is very important for designing power transmission engineering.The lines will be divided into equal divisions along its surface by the surface charge method which based on researching the theory of electrostatic filed. The relation of potential is launched by the method of linear interpolation and mathematical. The electric field intensity of lines’surface and the space nominal electric field intensity will be calculated by the relation of potential. The influence of that electric field intensity from line parameters which consist of polarity arrangement, wires’type (includes radius of sub-conductor and split root number), poles’horizontal distance, poles’ vertical distance, sub-conductors’ split distance and the height of transmission lines will be discussed and analyzed as an example of project. At last, some effective measure of reduced electric field intensity, which can provide technical support for the engineering design, will be proposed after comparing calculation.
