Port’s Consolidation And Distribution System Optimization Based On Ro-ro Ship

Port consolidation and distribution system resources optimization must meet the need of main transportation function.Developed on the base of ro-ro transportation,Chongqing guojiatuo wharf plays an important role in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area.Nevertheless,the diversion rate of heavy ro-ro cargo and resources organization pressure still stay in a increasing process with the opening of Chongqing Yuyi highway and Yiwan railway.Therefore,taping the existing ro-ro transportation’s competitive potential,allocating new ro-ro transportation capacity,updating the existing ro-ro transportation model have become a pressing matter of the moment.As a bond between port and resources area,port consolidation and distribution system is the key to improve the efficiency of logistics service.The paper refer to the successful operation experience of domestic and international port consolidation and distribution system,take Chongqing guojiatuo port consolidation and distribution system as the study sample,put forward some optimization analysis thinking and policy suggestions. The paper starts with the analysis of current situation of domestic and foreign port consolidation and distribution system,combines with Chongqing guojiatuo port’s reality,researches the port consolidation and distribution system’s optimization thinking based on ro-ro transportation,puts forward a development plan of amphibious drop and pull transportation based on ro-ro ship.Along with the accelerating pace of our country’s construction of comprehensive transportation system,the construction of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area amphibious transportation system is speeding up.According to the requirement of "on promoting drop and pull transportation development" promulgated by the Ministry of transport and other four ministries,considering the reality of surface transportation in Chongqing and the Three Gorges Reservoir Area,the condition of developing amphibious drop and pull transportation has formed.Based on the analysis of cargo traffic and cargo movement in Chongqing guojiatuo port,the paper makes a scientific prediction about cargo throughput in the planning year,and determine the basis requirements to port consolidation and distribution system according to the prediction results.Then,allocate consolidation and distribution’s facilities and equipments scientifically,aim to provide reference for Chongqing guojiatuo port’s amphibious drop and pulll transportation in the future.
