Steel bridge deck pavement, especially which under the long-span and heavy-loadtransportation conditions, has always been highly concerned in bridge engineering andacademic circles at home and abroad. Due to the weak bonding water layer,thetraditional steel deck pavement structures of asphalt concrete usually can’t meet thedesign service life and occur early damage.In this paper,a new type of bridge deckpavement structure—FRP-Epoxy gravel-Asphalt concrete deck has been introduced,and by means of experimental study and numerical simulation, study the long-termcorrosion protection performance of FRP layer on the pavement structure,and thedeformation under the combined action of temperature and long-term load.Firstly, this paper introduces the selection of the structure and material of this newpavement structure.Then, introduces the road performance test, the bending fatigueperformance test, shear test, showed that this pavement structure strength can meet theexpected structure and function;Secondly, has carried on test about the long-term anticorrosion properties of FRPlayer on steel box girder,soaking the FRP shell protected steel box with acid, alkali, saltsolution for180days,and take the traditional epoxy zinc rich paint coating protectedspecimens tested under the same conditions as a control group. Through apparentobservation and the rate of weight loss to evaluate the long-term corrosion protectionperformance.After soaking test, process the FRP protected steel box into shearspecimens, determine its shear strength after soaking, compared with the resultswithout soaking shear specimen test, calculate the interface shear strength retention rate.Tests show that: FRP layer is better than traditional epoxy zinc rich paint on corrosionprotection for steel bridge deck,and has high interface strength retention rate,canprovide long-term protection for steel bridge deck;Thirdly,observe the the long-term deformation of the new pavement structurebeam under the action of coupling of natural temperature and constant load.Test resultsshow that:the daily temperature changes has a great influence on the deformation,;long-term load is the main factor that leads to the deformation of pavement structure;Finally,the large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS is adopted to thedeformation of the beam under the condition of the test,the creep characteristic of thematerial is taken into account in,using the creep model provided in ANSYS and thinklong-term load is the main influence factors on the deflection,and ignored the influence of temperature, simulate the deformation under the fixed temperature. The goodagreement of numerical simulation results and experiment results shows that and thatnumerical simulation is reliable on simulation of long-term deformation.Based on thereliability of above analysis, with Chongqing Egongyan bridge as the engineeringbackground, establish local model of bridge deck pavement structure, analyzes itslong-term deformation.
