Satellite power system is an important part of the satellite. It provides thenecessary energy for the satellite system in different flight phases. There is importantguarantee for long-term operation of the satellite. It’s a key part of developing satellitepower to study the simulation of satellite power control system, on which a profoundstudy is taken in the paper.To accord with the requirements of modern satellite power system, design newsatellite power system conveniently, improve the indicators of power control system,provide design data of the new satellite power system for reference in the initial stageof establishment, according to the work principle of the satellite power system, allmathematical models of energy device (solar array, batteries) and control devices (theshunt regulator, the main error charge-discharge controller, amplifier) wereestablished in the system, and all of the devices were designed into integrationmodules in SIMULINK environment, the module can adapt to various topologyformation and calls.This paper establishes mathematical simulation modeling of The S3R (Thesequential switching shunt regulator) topology structure of power control system andthe hybrid power topology structure of control system which are frequently used indomestic at present; then focuses on the study of foreign advanced S4R (Thesequential switching shunt series regulator) power control system, and establishes themathematical model of the device of topological structure in detail. S4R system wasdesigned based on integrated module which can simulate the energy change of thewhole satellite operation process, and two load conditions including the constantresistance and constant power were designed in the S4R system. The change ofcharacteristic parameters of all systems (the charge-discharge current、 bus voltage,etc.) was simulated and tested, and the results were analyzed and compared in detail.The contents in the paper can be used to verify the design of the satellite powersystem. The simulation results can reflect the working situation of satellite powersystem on orbit. And the research productions can be used as references of designingmodels for new type satellite power system. There is some value in engineeringapplication.
