The urban construction has entered a period of rapid development in our country. Inface of many city syndrome, the development of underground space becomes an effectivemeasure to solve the shortage of urban space resources. The underground engineeringconstruction in city will inevitably encounter the phenomenon of building newunderground structures near existing buildings, namely underground approachingconstruction. The modern development of underground space begins with extendingdown from the building, than urban underground complex is created combining withunderground rail system. A lot of underground public buildings appear. Constructing newunderground structures in rock-soil body can produce disturbance on the surrounding soil,destroy the original stress state then produce displacement deformation, this will haveimpact on the surrounding structures and soil environment. If corresponding measuresare not taken, it will have a negative impact on the existing buildings in the constructionproject.This paper is based on the increase engineering of the Heida subway station. A newunderground commercial street will be built on both side of the subway station by coverand excavation top down method. The paper takes use of the finite element softwareMIDAS/GTS to analyze the construction of building a new underground street near bythe existing subway station. Firstly, the paper analyzes the effect on the displacement andinternal forces of the surface and subway station caused by the adjacent construction,summarizes its variation. Affected area is divided according to the soil displacementimages, the paper analyzes the change of soil displacement in each area. Then, byestablishing the compare model, the paper discusses the influence of the existence of thesubway station on the adjacent, contrasts the change of internal force and displacementand analyzes the impact in the pros and cons. The project applies the techniquedual-purpose pile, retaining piles are combined with the main structure to compose acomposite structural system. Its mechanics characteristic is studied, the significance ofthis technique to engineering construction is also discussed.Through the analysis of software calculation results, the paper obtains the changingrule of the internal force and displacement during construction, determines the pros andcons of the presence of existing structures impact on the construction, providingtheoretical support for future similar projects. Meanwhile the application of techniquepile wall interaction has high economic and social benefits.
