Structural components jiont is an important part of architecture, developing astandardized and prefabricated connection form, is one of the key ways to promote theprefabricated construction. In this paper, referring to the current beam-columnconnection forms at home and abroad for prefabricated steel structure,we proposedvariable beam height fabricated steel frame Joints. The characteristics of this jionts isthe use of some long bolt holes on part of plates so that the plate can slide within acertain range, then the joints can adapt to the beam in a certain range of high beam. Thisresearch work expanded around the jiont of this kind, the main research contents andresults are as follows:First, using the ABAQUS finite element software to build sophisticated models, conducting monotonic loading static analysis, hysteretic performance parametersanalysis and static analysis to explore its capacity and stiffness characteristics, evaluating its seismic performance indicators like skeleton curve, ductility, energy, etc.exploring the regularity on jiont performance of geometry changes and summarizing thepossible failure modes.Second, based on the analysis parameters, selected the most reasonable specimengeometry design conduct quasi-static experimental study, completed a total of L-shapedpiece of single-haunched plate, L-piece double-haunched plate, L-piece no haunchedplate, L-piece double-haunched plate with beam in the center etc.four types of jiontsquasi-static tests, analyzed critical parts of strain hysteresis curves, skeleton curves, stiffness degradation curve, long bolt hole slip, and contrast test the results with thefinite element analysis results and discuss reasons for the differences.Third, according to the preceding finite element analysis results and experimentalresults, proposed the static design method of the variable beam height fabricated steelframe Joints from checking the strength, stiffness equivalent substitution and structuralmeasures, provide a theoretical basis for the promotion of such jionts.
