Comfort evaluation is a very important part in the human comfort research. Toaccurately and effectively evaluate the comfort level of human is the foundation forfurther study about physiological mechanism of human comfort, which also directlyaffect the practical application of the evaluation and design methods of a comfortenvironment. So far, most of the studies of comfort evaluation focus on a single aspect, considering only thermal comfort or only sound comfort, etc.In addition, the researchmethods are limited as well. For example, the main method of thermal comfortevaluation at present is subjective evaluation method, which generally gets data ofsubjects’ subjective thermal response to different environmental parameter combinationsby questionnaires. Although this method is simple and practical, it involves greatsubjectivity, and the evaluation is ambiguous under different environment. Therefore, thispaper tries to combine thermal environment and acoustic environment to evaluate humancomfort comprehensively, make the results more easily to apply, which is a preliminaryresearch of application of thermal, acoustic environment integrated comfort evaluation inurban residential area.Firstly, this paper introduces some existing studies of outdoor thermal environmentand acoustic environment, as well as their evaluating indexes. What’s more, it analyzesthe main factors influencing the thermal comfort amd acoustic comfort, then designsfield test plans of thermal environment and acoustic environment in urban residentialarea according to the practical situation and the former studies, so as to obtain theimformation about how every factor effects the environment and hunman integratedcomfort.Secondly, this paper used CFD and Germany noise prediction software (Cadna/A), according to both the measured data and related references, to establish the forecastmodel of thermal environment and acoustic environment for urban residential area. Thenit compared the simulated result with the measured data to prove its rationality.Lastly, itrealized the visualization of the comfort indexes by programming. Finally, the paperestablished the integrated comfort evaluation model of acoustic and thermal environmentthrough the determination their weighting factor in the model. What’s more, it concludeda new method to evaluate the comprehensive comfort for the urban residential area, andbriefly analysed how the environmental factors effect the comfort level. The results show that: During typical summer daytime, the outdoor environment inresidence zone in Shenzhen can not meet the standard of thermal comfort, while thebiggest sound pollution mainly happens in rush hour.According to the thermal, acousticenvironment integrated comfort evaluation modle, the comprehensive evaluation level ofCommunity Zhonghaihuating in Shenzhen at15:00on August15th was Poor. If wewant to improve the comprehensive quality of outdoor oenvironment in residential area,we must improve the qualities of both thermal environment and the sound environment.
