With the development of aviation science and technology and the urgency ofmilitary needs, make the aviation model of R&D and manufacturing faster. The rapidincrease in the number and types of aircraft structural parts as the main components ofthe plan, the issues on structural parts of large scale, complex and diversifiedmaterials, manufacturing precision urgently need to be resolved. Because of the lackof a uniform definition of the3D process model based on MBD, the current CAPPsystem is difficult to recognize and export3D solid information for the most aircraftmanufacturing NC machining project, which can’t export programming processinformation of the part that can be accepted automatically by NC, it is need manualintervention. The traditional NC methods have not meet the requirements for highefficiency, low cost, so they urgently need use modern high and new technology ofNC programming method to improve the quality, accuracy, efficiency and cost of themachining.This paper researches on the NC programming of the aircraft structureparts,based on the existing problems and limitations of the research work, combinedwith the airlines aircraft manufacturing status quo and requirements. The mainresearch contents are as follows:(1) Summarize the research status on the NC machining for aircraft structural athome and abroad, summarized the manufacture features of the aircraft structure,classify the manufacture features of the aircraft structure, and analyze theprocessing technology for several common machining features of the aircraftstructures.(2)Build the aircraft structure parts3D model based on the model definition,which integrates scattered all design and manufacturing information in the3D modeland2D graphics. According to processing features of aircraft structures withdifferent complexities, propose the blend feature recognition method based on thechart and trace, introduces the concrete method and process of feature recognitionbased on hybrid method.(3)Elaborate the basic concept of tool path planning, introduces the characteristicsand characteristics of steel cutting groove cavity rail planning, discuss the tool pathgeneration algorithm of machining isometric surface in the groove chamber and calculation of the reinforcement curved edge angle, optimize tool path generation ofsome relatively difficult machining features.(4)Develop NC programming module groove cavity and muscle characteristics byusing of the CATIA CAA development platform, and carry on the simulationprocessing experiment, the experimental results show feasibility of aircraft structureNC automatic programming based on MBD.This paper based on the model definition of aircraft structure of NC programming,make it meet the requirements of the aviation enterprises to improve efficiency ofthe aircraft structure parts processing,and achieve the integration of CAD/CAPP/CAM; In addition,different from the traditional NC machining, use the feature andMBD technology is not only more effectively to improve the stability of theprocessing quality, but also more effective utilization of the previous experience,reduce the entire processing cycle, cost savings. The CATIA secondary developmentprovide a theoretical basis as the solution to the problem of the large quantities ofproduction efficiency.
