Asphalt mixture pavement influenced by multiple factors such as light, heat,water, load in the environment, weathering the pros and cons related to pavement life.Asphalt after UV aging changes in the three indicators. How is the performance ofasphalt mixture after UV aging? Few studies on this issue at home and abroad. Thispaper will consider the strong ultraviolet radiation, high and low temperatureenvironmental factors, adjust the gradation and asphalt content to improve the weatherresistance of asphalt mixture.Though setting key sieve such as2.36mm,4.75mm and9.5mm, limiting coarseaggregate of particle size greater than9.5cm and fine aggregate of particle sizediameter of less than2.36cm, increasing the proportion of medium particle size ofaggregates, several AC-13and AC-16’s improved S-graded was proposed. Marshalltest method is used to determine the improvement of the S-type gradationspecification values graded aggregate ratio and high temperature performance. TheUV environmental chamber is constructed to simulate the impact of UV irradiation.Rut experiment was used to evaluation at all levels before and after UV aging gradedasphalt mixes high temperature stability. Low temperature splitting test is used toevaluate ultraviolet before and after aging at all levels with asphalt mixture at lowtemperature crack resistance. Stress of asphalt mixture pavement structure will be analyzed using finiteelement ABAQUS.Stress of the top layer of asphalt mixture structure layers will beanalyzed after ultraviolet radiation aging.Stress distribution of asphalt mixturepavement structure will be analyzed in the high and low temperature. Graded materialperformance characteristics, combined with experimental and simulation results, thispaper presents the weather resistance design methods and the scope of asphaltmixture.
