Study Of Underground Building In Urban Areas Of The Xiao Zhai Business Circle In Xi’an

With the international community to pay attention to the problems of resources andthe environment, Sustainable development has became the main tone for globaldevelopment, construction of city Sustainable development needs have becomeincreasingly prominent. For the building pioneers,such as Le·Corbusier,Jacobs·Jane andSheerman, Based on the environmental perspective of the "compact city" theory, theyobjective to improve land using efficiency and control of the city’s without growth. Butthe high density city "compact city" can’t get rid of the malpractice in order to reducethe quality of the living environment and historic cost. So the development andutilization of city underground space provides a feasible way for the construction of thesustainable development of city, while improving the efficiency of land using efficiency,it also can save more lands for the city and creates a comfortable living environment.The research of this article is mainly on the underground space, from the south ofChangan Interchange to the west of Yanta Road, which is centered by the XiaozhaiCrossroad. This area which is located on the extension of North-south Axis Line of thecity in Ming Dynasty is the key business circle of the south part of Xi’an. Being seenfrom the significance of Tang Imperial City’s Rejuvenating Concept planning, thesouthern part of Ming Imperial city, Xiaozhai will play a very important part in history,economy and social pattern. The city rebuilding improves the value of Xiaozhai Areaand reconstructs the traditional business circle, and the research on Xiaozhai BusinessCircle is as important as the protection of Ming Imperial City. So we can see that it isvery important to do the research on the situation of Xiaozhai’s underground space.This article will do a deep research on the underground space from the from the south of Changan Interchange to the west of Yanta Road, including the utilization anddevelopment of Xiaozhai Crossroad and the construction of the Second Line. It will alsostudy the functional form, building time, development scale, availability, internalenvironment and so on to know the problems of underground space utilization research,So that we can get the essence in the foreign experts’ research. And it proposed theconstruction idea and the goals of Xiaozhai Business Circle rebuilding in this article.We hope that it can prove some theoretical foundation for the future rebuilding of thatarea.
