Based on the evaporative condenser engineering application and the level of thecurrent research at home and abroad, conduct the evaporative condenser performanceevaluation from the theoretical research, experimental research, system optimizationand technology innovation and so on, in order to improve thermal efficiency of thesystem, resulting in the purpose of saving water. Main work is the combination ofevaporative condenser in the actual engineering examples and the evaporativecondenser in refrigeration system performance test rig, using engineering examplesand test bench test data, draw the conclusions from the of heat transfer mechanism ofphysical and mathematical analysis and the theoretical model calculation ofevaporative condenser.Fouling is one of the primary factors affecting performance of the evaporativecondenser. In this paper, based on the fouling characteristics model reported in theliterature, the experimental data are used to qualitatively investigate the impact on heatrejection with the growth of the fouling, which shows the maximum decrease in theheat rejection is55﹪.Moreover, the influence extent on the thermal performance atthe fouling condition is conducted. The results indicate that the fouling reduces thegains resulting from the decreasing air inlet wet bulb temperature.With reform the practical refrigeration system, make the comparative analysis ofthe COP of the system with air cooling condenser, water cooled condenser, and theevaporative condenser. Results show that at condenser operating at40℃, theevaporating temperature in the range of-24~13℃, an evaporative condenser systemcan achieve the same as the water-cooled condensing system performance, which ismuch better than the air cooled condensing system. At this point, saving in energy ofthe evaporative condenser is the most obvious.Evaporative condenser used in heat pump systems, through optimizing therefrigerant charging quantity, spool valve, wheel speed optimization, the steady state performance and circulating seasonal performance of the system is significantlyimproved, which makes the advantage of the evaporative condenser is more prominent.Because condensing temperature of evaporative condensing system is lower, it reducesthe system power consumption of the compressor and fan and wheel motor, COP ofthe system and SEER. Compared heat pump system with air cooling, the refrigeratingcapacity of the system is increased by1.9%~8.2%and COP increases11.0%~21.5%,refrigerating SEER seasonal energy efficiency ratio increased by14.3%.
