Brushless DC motor (BLDCM), which is also known as square wave synchronousmotor, keeps the excellent characteristics of the DC motor, uses electronicallycommutation to replace mechanical commutation. With these advantages it can solvethe drawbacks, such as sparks, noise, interference and the problem of short service life,caused by the traditional DC motor with mechanical commutation.Therefore, in termsof reliability, economy, speed and efficiency, the BLDCM has obvious advantages, inwhich,it is widely used in high-precision control system. the paper studies mainly onthe brushless DC motor speed control system and control method.At present, Brushless DC motor speed control system generally adopts doubleclosed loop speed regulation and the traditional PID control strategy. However, Thetraditional PID control requires for strict settings of the controller parameters, When thecontrolled object parameters change, the controller parameters cannot make thecorresponding adjustment as the change of controlled object.Actually, Brushless DCmotor control system is a multi-variable, strong coupling nonlinear system. So in somehigh-precision and high-performance occasions, the traditional PID control strategycannot achieve the ideal control effect. In recent years, artificial intelligence technologyprovides a new idea to solve the problems. Fuzzy control is developed rapidly. Attributethe success to the characteristics, such as the Control algorithm is simple and has weakdependence on the mathematical model, the control system has strong robustness andcan supports the real-time control, the Control parameters can take self-tuning online,etc.This paper takes the high-precision control strategy of the brushless DC motor as atheme to explore. The purpose is to improve the system dynamic and static performanceby designing a high performance brushless dc motor double closed loop speed controlsystem. Firstly, this paper analysis the structure of the brushless DC motor, workprinciple, mathematical model and the speed adjustment mode.Secondly, we designedthe fuzzy adaptive PID parameters online self-tuning integrated controller basis on thetraditional PID control system and combined with the fuzzy algorithm. and proposed an optimized fuzzy operator optimization algorithm to solve the traditional PID control lowaccuracy. Thirdly, this paper built a double closed loop speed control system in thesimulation environment of MATLAB/Simulink, which used the fuzzy adaptive PIDcontrol algorithm in the speed loop controller and the traditional PI control algorithm inthe current loop controller of. Then we compared to the traditional PID control effect.The simulation results show that this control strategy has strong adaptability androbustness, the motor speed control system can improve the dynamic and staticperformance. And then we proposed a simple algorithm, high precision, fast response,full-dimensional observer to follow-up observations speed changes.Finally, we used the dsPIC30F, which is a series dedicated to the servo controlsystem with enhanced16-bit Flash digital signal processor, launched by Microchip, acompany in the United States, as the master chip to design a brushless DC motor drivecontroller, and accomplished the software and hardware design.
