With the rapid development of highway in our country, road quality requirements arealso increasing, especially the road surface flatness and density of high-grade affect pavementlife and driving comfort etc. And asphalt concrete spreading machine as an importantconstruction machinery of road construction, the quality of its performance on the road playsa crucial role. As an important part of the system of asphalt concrete spreading machine, thescreed directly affect the density and flatness of asphalt concrete. And in the course of work,it bears various complex load, so the screed whether has enough sufficient stiffness is not onlyrelated to the life of the screed, but also related to the flatness of the road. Screed analysis bythe finite element method, it has an important role to improve the performance and enhancethe market competitiveness.In engineering applications, the more traditional approach is that the designer accordingto the functional requirements of the parts, and expressed it by the form of a two-dimensionaldrawing,and do the analysis only rely on experiences. With the development of computertechnology, the designner can use such as CAD/CAE technology to complete the designtask, so that not only make the design result accurately, but also greatly reduce theconsumption of human and material resources, as while as shortening the design cycle.This paper analyzes the structure and working principle of the asphalt concretespreading machine and the screed structure and working principle, and on this basis, we havemade the following work:(1) We did a simple kinematic analysis of screed; We use modeling software PRO/E tomodeling the three-dimensional of screed, and simplified structure appropriately;(2) On the basis of the finite element model, we use ANSYS analysis software to do staticanalysis of the screed, got the displacement contours and stress contours, the analysis showsthat, when the screed force by hot asphalt mixture,its produced opposite deformation withpaver forward direction, according to deformation and stress distribution characteristics,proposed a way to reduce the amount of deformation of the program;(3) And we used module of ANSYS modal analysis complete the modal analysis of screed, calculated natural frequency and each mode corresponding shapes;(4) Finally, we did a steady-state thermal analysis of screed, derived the displacementcontours and stress contours when environmental temperature is0degrees,20degrees and30degrees, and the temperature of the ironing board backplane is130degrees, And proposedthree possible methods to reduce the amount of deformation in accordance with thedeformation and stress distribution characteristics.
