Along with the development of transportation, more and more long-span continuous rigidframe bridge with high piers were constructed.However, the stability problem of the bridge,especially in the stage of cantilever construction is more remarkable. Based on Luohe Bridge,the text analyzed the stability of continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers during theconstruction of cantilever by use of finite element program Midas Civil.The text consulted a large number of literatures, reviewed the nonlinear finite elementanalysis method of bridge structure and the investigation development on stability of bridgesand the existing status, and the thesis indicates most stability problems in practicalengineering structure belong to the second type stability problem.; Taking Luohe bridge as theexample, analyzed the stability an natural vibration of the whole bridge.Take the largestcantilever construction stage of13thpier as a research object, analyzed the linear stability withthe worst construction load and got the inherent frequency and critical load on the top of thepier; For three kinds of the geometrical nonlinear stability analysis, it deduced the bucklingmode and stability eigenvalue under three kinds of working conditions, and through the load-displacement curve that we obtain the buckling load and the stability safety factor; puttingeffect of temperature as the initial imperfection and analyzing time-varying nonlinear for thestructure in order to provide reference for future design and the stability of constructing.
