| With the rapid development of city economy and the process of promoting the city, thecity enter into the development of motorized expansion period, city road system throughoutthe country are under tremendous pressure, at the same time, the bus rapid transit provides anew direction to ease the traffic pressure. Bus Rapid Transit with its low cost and high qualityservice, has attracted people’s attention. In this paper, the capacity of bus rapid transit systemis discussed, I hope it can be helpful to the promotion and construction Bus Rapid Transitsystem in China. This paper briefly introduces the elements of bus rapid transit system, to lay thefoundation for the research of bus rapid transit system capacity. Then the factors whichinfluence the traffic capacity of bus rapid transit system are analyzed, including dockingstation, basic section of lane and signal intersection central bus lanes. According to the threetraffic facilities, introduces the corresponding calculation method, and integrate the threecalculation methods, then get the traffic capacity of Bus Rapid Transit system. Finally, usingVISSIM software to establish the model, establish a simulation program, the simulationanalysis on some influence parameters of factors which are easy to be quantified. At last, arrive at a conclusion that the passengers, signal cycle and green ratio have spatial andtemporal accumulation. When signal cycle is greater than a certain threshold, the middlesection of the docking station and stop effect on capacity gradually weakened. Bus rapidtransit pass the earlier stops and the intermediate section stops, the capacity of signalizedintersection green ratio change is not very sensitive. The simulation of a part of a bus rapidtransit line in Kunming Beijing Road, by setting different parameters, changing the linecondition, to analyze the operation of bus rapid transit, and compare the data at home andabroad with the rapid transit system actual operating data and the simulation model of thedata, verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach. |
