Structural control refers to set controlling devices in the structure, and withstanddynamic loads and other seismic loads jointly by the original structure and controlling devices,in order to reduce the structural dynamic response. Shaking table test can simulate and detectthe seismic performance of controlled structure, but the test demands equipments highly, what’s more, it can’t consider the actual randomness of ground motion adequately. Therefore, researching the seismic performance of controlled structure under random earthquakes hasstrong theoretical significance on seismic reliability analysis of structures in earthquake zone. This article researches on the subject of controlled steel frame structure, using FEMsoftware ABAQUS establishes analysis models under three situation, applies C++andMATLAB programs for data extraction and analysis, from two aspects of theory andnumerical simulation, the article studies on reliability’s changing process of three kinds ofstructures under random ground motion. The main content and conclusions are as following:First of all, this paper summaries and discusses structural reliability theory onearthquake resistance in detail, and summaries analysis method of structural reliability basedon the theory of probability and statistics.Secondly, this paper chooses two actual records of seismic waves and a synthetic seismicwave, using ABAQUS software conducts time-history analysis of three structures respectively. Then it is found that: The position of weak layer is not completely identical under the actionof different seismic waves which is in the same strength, illustrating the randomness ofground motion has a large influence to the structure response result. And then this paper compiles MATLAB program and entering221random earthquakewaves to make time-history analysis of three structures respectively, subsequently using C++and MATLAB program which is compiled by this paper reads and handles the data, and threekinds of probability density evolution of structure can be obtained by method of probabilitydensity evolution. Finally, the reliability of the three structures is calculated separately. The results showthat: for the bottom layer which is most vulnerable under earthquake ground level, Reliabilityof frame-braced structures is improved by15.15%than the frame structure, reliability offrame-damper structures is improved by29.79%than the frame structure. Reliability ofcontrolled structure is improved by22.47%than frame structure in the average level.
