Self-anchored suspension bridges are increasingly appreciated by engineers for theirmeritssuch as aesthetic appearance and high adaptability to the land form and geology. It hasbecome amore competitive design scheme in middle-, and small-span in cities.Firstly, this thesis introducesthe development of self-anchored suspension bridges in theworld was reviewed, and structural characteristics of self-anchored suspension bridge werealsodescribed, and finally state of basic assumption, computational formula andapplicablescope of elasticity theory, deflection theory and finite displacement theory. Basedonself-anchored suspension bridge of Zhong hu,finite model by using the large-scale finiteelement computationthis thesisbuilds up asoftwareMIDAS/CIVIL to analyze staticcharacteristic, stability and dynamic characteristic of self-anchored suspension bridge. featureand difficulty: large span, large force, large deformation and small permissible en-or. Basedon Zhonghu Bridge construction control, this paper studies the theory and method ofself-anchoredsuspension bridge construction control. The static performance of the examplebridge under the dead and service loads was investigated, finally the effects of structuraldesign parameters on the static,performance of the aelf-anchored suspension bridge wereinvestigated.Structural dynamic characteristics of the example bridge was analyzed includingthe natural frequency and vibration mode。The results show that: for small and medium span of earth-anchored andself-anchoredsuspension bridges, the internal force and stress have little difference, andthe static anddynamic performance is similar too. However because of avoiding theconstruction of largevolume anchorages for self-anchored suspension bridge, the cost isreduced, and makes theself-anchored suspension bridg have more advantagese in small or mid span; structural designparameters including the side to main span ratio, the cableag to span ratio and also theconnections between the towers and stiffening girder have important influence on themechanics performance of self-anchored suspension bridge.
