Self-anchored suspension bridge,which main cable is directly anchored to the stiffening girder,is a self-balancing structure.The stiffening girder bear the horizontal component of cable force and vertical component of cable force.Due to the different structure and the construction process that is before girder to cable,there is large difference on the static characteristics between self-anchored suspension bridge and earth anchored suspension bridge.As a special suspension bridge model,it did not develop actively for years but nowadays attracts engineering's great interest.However,people now pay much more attention to the bridge shape,especially the harmony between the bridge and the surroundings,looking for the deeply combination between the bridge structure and the local area culture.With the traditional suspension bridge harder and harder to satisfy people's requirements on building a landscape bridge at the determined address in the city,naturally people tend to build the self-anchored suspension bridge with beautiful shape.Retaining the traditional suspension model,self-anchored suspension bridge is more and more popular to people,including engineers,because of its beautiful and well-arranged shape.But there are not many double tower and three spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridges in the worldwide,neither the studies and research achievement,since the complexity of its structure.Firstly we would like to introduce the general characteristics of the double towerthree spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge and earth anchored suspension bridge and the history of development of self-anchored suspension bridge.On the basis of a double tower spatial plane self-anchored suspension bridge being built,we sum up the effect laws for a reference by analyzing the main design parameters of the static characteristics of the double tower-three spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge.The research focuses on the ultimate span and the static characteristic of different design parameters of the double tower-three spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge.We analyze the effects of the structural style of large span bridges girders,rise span ratio,side-middle span ratio,and the ratio between the live load and dead load of double tower spatial plane self-suspension bridge,conducting and analyzing its analytic equation of ultimate span and summarize the effects of different structural parameter on the ultimate span of the bridge.We further analyze the effects of structural geometrical parameters and structural element sections features and main girder dead load intensity on its static characteristics.Structural geometrical parameters include span ratio,side-middle span ratio,the space of the sling,the height of the tower,The horizontal distance of the IP point and structural element sections features include the area of the cable,the area of the sling flexural rigidity of the beam and the tower.Models of different design parameters will be built to analyze the effect of parameter variation on the static feature of the self-anchored suspension bridge.
