At present, air pollution and energy constrains are severe challenges for human beingsto face. With a rapid development of economy in our country, highway construction isbooming in China, and energy consumption of its infrastructure is increasing obviously, alongwith the increasing carbon emission, which both do harm to the environment and against withour sustainable development policy. In a word, it is very necessary to research quantitativeanalysis system about energy consumption and carbon emission of asphalt mixtures.In the paper, on the basis of that machinery equipment, energy consumption,construction technology, and carbon emission had been investigated in the process ofconstruction such as asphalt mixtures production, transportation, paving and compaction.Energy consumption and carbon emission quantitative analysis system in asphalt mixtureswere discussed and studied. Specifically, this paper analysed its key factor, came up with theanalytical method, confirmed how much energy consumption and carbon emission a unit ofasphalt mixtures product, built the quantitative analysis model, and structured the quantitativeanalysis system, which help to analyse energy consumption and carbon emission of differentkinds of asphalt mixtures quantitatively. In the end, this paper evaluated several asphaltmixtures’ effects of energy savings and emission reductions, and verified its pavementperformance.Therefore, the research on quantitative analysis system about energy consumption andemission in asphalt mixtures not only provide us a practicable way to quantitatively calculatein the process of asphalt pavement construction. It’s also beneficial to restraining energyconsumption and emissions during the process of asphalt pavement construction, whichmeans the result of energy saving, emission reduction and green road construction. Theresearch results are of great significance in theory and practical value in engineering toimprove calculation level of energy consumption and emission quantity in asphalt mixtures.The research results also meet to build a transportation construction pattern of resource savingand environment friendly in our country and will bring up immeasurable economic, social andenvironmental benefit.
