With the development of the railway transport, the combined highway and railway steeltruss cable-stayed bridge have been increasingly used. The dead loads of the first and secondphase of the bridge overweigh much than general highway cable-stayed bridge. Therefore, thestress of the combination bridge is much more complicated than general bridge. This essay isbased on the Hongyancun combination of highway and railway bridge of Chongqing, usingthe spatial finite element analysis software MIDAS/CIVIL2010. Space of the whole bridgefinite element model, which is based on the element of beam, plate and cable, is built to carryout the following study on the static behaviors of long-span and combined highway andrailway steel truss cable-stayed bridge:Firstly, the three most unfavorable construction stages, which are the largest cantileversystem transformation, side span closure and finishing the bridge, are selected to analysis thestress of structure of the main girder, bridge tower and the lasso. And the stress of thestructure in the construction stage is examined to be reasonable.Secondly, considering the action of live load, temperature changes, wind loads andbearing sedimentation during the operational phase, calculate and analysis stress anddeformation of the structure under the individual working conditions and under conditions ofvarious load combinations, then compared the calculated results with the relevantspecifications to test the bearing capacity of the structure.Finally, the factors which have an effect on static property of the combined bridge, aretested with sensitivity analysis. Various factors are researched about the influence rule of howthese affecting the structure performance, by changing the range of temperature varing,reference wind speed value and support settlement.By simulation analysis of static behaviors of long-span and combined highway andrailway steel truss cable-stayed bridge, conclusions are summarized of the mechanicalperformance, and the author puts some problems forward which still need to be studied.
