Cold-formed steel composite wall is now widely used in the field of light steel structure, theresearch of using sandwich panels as composite wall and put this wall infilled steel frames forcollaborative working is poor. This paper studied the shear resistance of cold-formed steelcomposite wall covered with sandwich plate and composite wall-steel frame by ANSYSsimulating.Firstly,referencing to the exiting shear resistance tests of composite wall and wall-frame,wecreate the finite element models.By comparing the experimental results and the finite elementanalysis,we arrive at the finite element model is accurate enough to the following research.Secondly,on the basis of former research,the parametric studies were carried out todetermine the effect of the fastener spacing,height of the wall,thickness of the studs,thicknessof the sandwich plate,single and double covered plates,studs spacing.The results indicate thatfastener spacing,height of the wall,thickness of the studs,single and double coveredplates,studs spacing are the influencing factors of the shear strength.Give the suggestionsabout the construction of the composite wall.Finally,by finite model building and loading of wall-frame,we conclude the following results;the frame shear force changed obviously after the frame is filled with composite wall; thedeveloping and distribution of wall stress are changed obviously by transverse connection,andthen influence the structural shear strength,and we conclude the cooperative principlesbetween wall and frame with different connections,shear force distribution between them; Theshear strength is influenced by the wall,on the contrary,frame is less affected under differentstructural spans; Axial compression ratio reduce the shear strength; The location of the wallhas no affect on the structural strength.
