With the economy globalization and the acceleration of the urbanization process in China, the development of China’s cities have also entered a period of rapid growth, urbanconstruction is also facing serious challenges. Need to adapt to more and more and morepopulation and more demand for transport for the future development of urban construction, the expansion of the city will inevitably produce. But many big cities "pie" type ofdevelopment model has brought a series of problems, such as malformation of the layout ofthe city, the central area of the serious traffic congestion, deteriorating environmental quality, excessive waste of energy issues. Mode of transportation for bus rapid transit, railtransportation and other large and medium-sized capacity, can be solved due to theexpansion of the city "pie" type of series unsustainable development, such as urban form outof control, the central city traffic congestion, environmental degradation, excessiveconsumption of energy. To solve these problems is rooted in the relationship between urbanland development and urban transport. Because the lack of financial resources of many citiesin China are not able to build the expensive, long construction period rail transportation, thereby turning a low-cost, large-capacity transport to solve urban traffic problems. Rise inthe50s and60s of the last century the Bus Rapid Transit in Curitiba, Brazil can meet theserequirements, many cities in the world to follow emulate construction the BRT to solve theproblem of urban traffic, and has been developed by leaps and bounds. The paper studies the work:(1) This article describes the composition and characteristics of the bus rapid transitsystem and based on analysis of past rail transit network layout planning method to clarifythe ideas and features mainly to bus rapid transit backbone network layout planning.Analysis of large and medium-sized mass transit to urban spatial form, spatial distribution ofpopulation, land use planning, land-use value, comprehensive development ofthree-dimensional space and other aspects of affect, and the use of TOD (Transit OrientedDevelopment, transit-oriented development, this concept was first proposed by U.S. architectHarrison Flake proposed) strategy to solve the uncontrolled urban development in China. The TOD strategy has been widely regarded as a reasonable model of development can beapplied to the development of China’s major cities. Through the application of TOD mode, tocontrol the development of urban land use, at the same time able to solve the seriousproblem of traffic congestion, and to explore the trends of bus rapid transit in the future, expect bus rapid transit can be a good solution to such as urban form out of control, thecentral city traffic congestion, environmental degradation, excessive consumption of energy and other problems.(2) Construction of a mathematical model of bus rapid transit departure frequency, forshowing bus rapid transit passenger uneven distribution of features in a operating day, and toadjust the departure frequency of the sub-periods, in order to ensure the rational allocation oftransport capacity. To minimize the cost of passenger waiting time and bus companies gainmaximum target, considering the maximum and minimum departure interval, the departureof two adjacent intervals, and the load factor bound, to departure interval to a mathematicalmodel for the variable. Bus companies always want to provide the largest possible departureinterval to reduce its variable costs, while passenger is required to obtain a more efficientservice (corresponding departure interval to be small), in order to reduce its Waiting andgeneralized cost. Therefore, reducing the cost of the bus company means increased costs ofpassengers, and vice versa. Only considering the bus company and the interests ofpassengers in order to obtain the greatest social benefits. Constructed for such issues bothrapid transit and passenger interests of both the mathematical model, and optimizationproblems using particle swarm algorithm to solve the bus rapid transit departure frequency, expected to improve the efficiency of operations and improve the quality of the solution.Innovation of this paper:(1)The unevenness of the site for the passengers arrive at different times of the day, proposed bus rapid transit scheduling optimization algorithm model based on different loadfactor constraints for different time.(2)The number of bus vehicles, with little regard for the past bus departure frequencyoptimization model, on the basis of the past bus departure frequency optimization modeladded in number of bus vehicles, and optimization.Expect rational allocation of resources ofpublic transport vehicles, to adjust the balance between supply and demand, improve transportefficiency, and to provide the necessary technical support for the establishment of good publictransport vehicle operation scheduling measures.
