In recent years, composite with high strength and low weight, especially constitutedby FRP skin and light material sandwich structure, changed the classic standardshipbuilding industry, and caused great changes in the ship design and production. Butbecause of the lag of development of composite material industry in our country,compared with international standard, our construction design of composite boat structurehas a large backward. Just in recent years, the finite element simulation of CompositeShip Structure Analysis of our country began to develop. And especially there are fewtechnical papers published for the finite element analysis of foam core sandwichcomposites technology, seriously affected the development of composite ship industry.Therefore, the numerical simulation of Composite Ship Structure Analysis andcalculation research is necessary.First, starting from the basic characteristics of the sandwich structure, the generallyconstitute forms and basic mechanical properties and the main failure modes and causesare presented. Then, conducting a three point bending test studied the basiccharacteristics of a general marine foam sandwich composites structure. And using thenumerical simulation with the entity unit established the numerical model of foamsandwich structure and simulated the experimental process. Proposed judge conditions tojudge whether the structures reach initial damage and ultimate bearing, and compared thesimulation results with experiment, and got the simulation method of foam core sandwichcomposite structure. For the applicability of engineering, based on the simulation methodof solid element that has been verified by experiment, chose "sandwich" shell elementinstead of solid element to simplify numerical simulation. Based on solid elementsimulation method, studied the beam structure bending and side bending and boardstructure of foam core sandwich composites in “sandwich” shell element compared withsolid element to get the availably simulation method.Finally, according to the " high speed ship rules and regulations for the construction and level (2005)", using the simplified "sandwich" shell element simulation method tocalculate a three layer of longitudinal framing composite Catamaran Cruise Ships, andoptimized the structure of the ship according to the calculation results, and summarizedthe structure characteristics of the ship.
